Fun Along Lake Superior

It's still cold in many parts of Michigan, and the picture in this blog, will usually cool a Southerner pretty good even in the end of July. This is the steep sand dunes near Grand Marais, looking at Lake Superior, the world's largest fresh water lake. Also, close by is Munising's Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

Plenty to do here in the summer and for all ages. I find the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to be very relaxing and invigorating. And while you are up here have a nourishing Pasty, cooked for Cornish miners, because it was an easy nourishing meal for a miner to eat and easy to heat up from the heat of the miner's candle.
